Drunk in Saskatchewan

For all of you who don’t know where Saskatchewan is - here is a map. Really this joke is for anybody who lives in the back-water hillbilly pig farmer areas.

Recently, during a routine patrol, a RCMP patrolman parked down the street outside a Legion Hall just off the main Street at Estevan, Saskatchewan.

After last call, the officer observed a man leaving the Legion Hall. The gentleman was so intoxicated that he could barely walk. He then stumbled around the parking lot for a few minutes, with the officer quietly observing. After what seemed an eternity and trying his keys on five different vehicles, the man managed to find his car, which he fell into.

He sat there for a few minutes and then threw a hook and line out the window and seemed to be trying to catch a fish. A number of other patrons paid no attention to this crazy drunk as they left the bar and drove off.

Finally the drunk started the car, switched the wipers on and off (it was a fine, dry summer night) flicked the blinkers on and off a couple of times, honked the horn, and switched on the headlights.

He then pulled in the hook and line and moved the vehicle forward a few inches, reversed a little and then remained still for a few more minutes as some more of the other patron vehicles left. At last, the parking lot was empty; he pulled out of the parking lot and started to drive slowly down the road.

The officer, having patiently waited all this time, now started up the patrol car, put on the flashing lights, and promptly pulled the man over.

He performed a breathalyzer test on the gentleman who cooperated fully, and to his amazement the breathalyzer indicated no evidence of the man having consumed any alcohol at all!

Dumbfounded, the officer said, ‘I’ll have to ask you to accompany me to Headquarters. This breathalyzer equipment must be broken.”

“I doubt it,” said the truly proud Saskie, “Tonight I’m the designated decoy.”

Taking a break from diesel power, electric vehicles are also on the rise. For a while the big developments have been overseas. Recently, there has been a surge of electric concepts from domestic manufacturers. Here are the top 8 in no particular order.

Fisker Automotive Karma

The Karma is a high-performance electric vehicle set to hit the market in mid to late 2009. It can travel up to 50 miles on battery power alone and when the small 4-cylinder engine takes over, it can hit numbers in excess of 100mpg. There is also a duel running mode where both electric and gas power can be drawn upon to hit 60mph in 5.8 seconds.

Dodge ZEO

The ZEO is a performance electric vehicle most likely pointed in your younger buyer’s direction. It has a range of 250 miles per charge and will go from 0 to 60 in “less than 6 seconds.” Wide fender flares rest above a set of 23″ wheels and low-profile tires. Not bad.

Jennifer Love Hewitt’s bikini advantage

Washington (ANI): Jennifer Love Hewitt has once again opened up about the bikini photographs taken by paparazzi during her Hawaiian getaway with fiance, Scottish actor Ross McCall - but this time the actress has highlighted what she believes is the positive side of the picture.

Speaking at an Oscar viewing party at SBE’s The Abbey in West Hollywood, the 28-year-old actress revealed that her fiance has just popped the question when the pictures were taken. “The thing I think is great is when those pictures were taken, no matter what, I had just been asked to marry, so he loves me just the way I am,” People quoted Hewitt, as saying.

And in case the ‘Ghost Whisperer’ star does decide to do something about her body, it will be to keep her healthy. “If I do work out more it will be for my health, so I can live a long time and we can have kids and be happy together until we are in our 80s. It won’t be because I am worried about how I look,” she added.

Men - Do You Shave Your Legs?

shaving leg.jpgI found this article quite interesting and showing the change in times.

Now we all know that part of the definition of beauty are those long, tanned legs that we see on supermodels. Just look at whatshername, the girl Tom Brady is dating (the chick he’s dating as of January 28th, not the one he will be by the time this is published.)

Take a minute to think about her legs. They’re obviously oh-so-long and oh-so-tan, but they’re also soft and smooth like the freshly basted skin of a slow-cooking turkey dinner. I mean, I’m guessing. But why is it only women who get to have these beautiful legs?

Leading me to the subject of today’s lesson: leg hair, to shave or not to shave? Now when Romeo asked himself that question back decades ago it was a pretty foolish thing to ask. There simply wasn’t metal to make razors back then. But in today’s modern culture, this debate for certain athletes is not only difficult, but operose (def: kinda like difficult.)

Still on the ropes about shaving? Let me leave you with some data. In a recent Viking study, 100% of women ages 14-18 prefer shaved legs to unshaven legs.* Nuff’ said.

Gentlemen, you know where I stand. So if you relate to me as exhibit B, first stop and take a minute to thank god for blessing you with great genes, then I encourage you to raid your sister’s cabinet and go to work.

(Yeah, and if you already shaved your legs, I was just kidding. Don’t shave ‘em. I will make fun of you.)

Are Nice Guys a Dying Breed?

I’ve been a nice guy all my life. Upbringing taught me to be nice to everyone. I open doors for women, compliment them, laugh with them, do nice things for them such as favors and such. What do I get in return? “You’re so sweet and thoughtful..” I HATE that phrase!
