Bikini girl served up for crocodile snack

Swimming with hungry crocodiles is not most people’s idea of fun but, for 28-year-old Kerry Shaw, it was a dream come true.

Wearing only a bikini, she was lifted by a crane into a 4m deep pool inside a 1m x 2m steel cage with strict orders not to stick any part of her body outside it.

‘It was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that I did not want to miss out on,’ she said, admitting that she checked the cage door was locked before going into the pool.

Australians urged to save energy with shorter showersAustralians were today encouraged to stop singing and daydreaming in the shower after research showed it wasted water and electricity.
The energy provider Energy Australia surveyed 400 people taking a total of 2,500 showers over five days, finding that the average shower took seven minutes.

The research also discovered that children wasted shower time brushing their teeth, while parents were accused of wasting it while they relaxed or exfoliated.

Leg-shaving was found to be the most wasteful activity, adding an extra 10 minutes to the length of a shower, followed by exfoliating the body, which increased the time by nine minutes.

Court says yes to breasts

Court says yes to breastsIn what might just be one of the most important legal decision in Florida’s history – almost certainly more important than the ones that gave George Bush the presidency in 2000 - a court has upheld a woman’s right to mount political protests by exposing her breasts.

Elizabeth Book was arrested for baring her breasts in 2004, under a law that banned acts of indecency in public, including women going topless

The law she was protesting against, of course, was the same anti-toplessness law under which she was arrested. (Read the article)
