I found this article quite interesting and showing the change in times.

Now we all know that part of the definition of beauty are those long, tanned legs that we see on supermodels. Just look at whatshername, the girl Tom Brady is dating (the chick he’s dating as of January 28th, not the one he will be by the time this is published.)

Take a minute to think about her legs. They’re obviously oh-so-long and oh-so-tan, but they’re also soft and smooth like the freshly basted skin of a slow-cooking turkey dinner. I mean, I’m guessing. But why is it only women who get to have these beautiful legs?

Leading me to the subject of today’s lesson: leg hair, to shave or not to shave? Now when Romeo asked himself that question back decades ago it was a pretty foolish thing to ask. There simply wasn’t metal to make razors back then. But in today’s modern culture, this debate for certain athletes is not only difficult, but operose (def: kinda like difficult.)

Still on the ropes about shaving? Let me leave you with some data. In a recent Viking study, 100% of women ages 14-18 prefer shaved legs to unshaven legs.* Nuff’ said.

Gentlemen, you know where I stand. So if you relate to me as exhibit B, first stop and take a minute to thank god for blessing you with great genes, then I encourage you to raid your sister’s cabinet and go to work.

(Yeah, and if you already shaved your legs, I was just kidding. Don’t shave ‘em. I will make fun of you.)

It wasn’t the first thing most people noticed when they saw the posters of David Beckham modelling a new range of designer underpants. But once they had finished inspecting the xylophone stomach muscles, cooed at the snug fit of his briefs and imagined themselves as the object of his come-hither look, their eyes were drawn to the footballer’s upper and inner thighs. They looked awfully smooth. Had he … he hadn’t, had he? … done his bikini line?

No one could confirm yesterday whether the former England captain had been operating some kind of “border control” or whether it was airbrushing that kept his pants line neat. But if he had been doing some DIY, for once he is not starting a trend, but following it.

All over the country more and more men (gay and straight alike) are marching into beauty salons and demanding a “Boyzilian“, or as one Yorkshire-based salon bills it, “the Full Monty”. In other words, the complete or near-complete removal of hair in intimate areas using wax. If you have £120 to spare, you can even get it done in Harrods, in the Refinery spa.

You may find it hard to believe, but one thing many of my male clients ask me about is body-hair removal. Generally, in the male mind, depilation is best reserved for women, professional cyclists, swimmers and drag queens. Even in the playground, the first signs of body hair are the making of a man among his peers. However, think of unquestionably too-furry men such as Burt Reynolds and David Hasselhoff, and no more needs to be said.

How much hair is too much? Well, things are starting to change. How often nowadays do you see a hairy Premiership footballer? There are even several noticeably smooth rugby players. The Daniel Craig version of James Bond is markedly less hairy than the Sean Connery one. Being groomed is now far more acceptable, and fuzz removal for men is something women seem to be embracing. Pubic hair removal has been the least discussed topics in the hair removal arena. With the latest trend of being hairless removal of pubic hair has found its new meaning.

Pubic hair has suddenly started loosing its privacy. The introduction of Brazilian wax brought a revolution in pubic hair removal. The Brazilian wax originated in Brazil for women wanting to wear the then-new thong bikinis. The ‘Brazilian- involves removing pubic hair from the mons pubis, labia and the Bikini line. Some hair may be left on the mons pubis depending on individual patient preference. Getting a ‘Brazilian- was popularized on shows such as Sex and the City and within the past three years is as commonly advertised by beauty therapists and medical laser hair removal clinics as compared to other more traditional beauty and cosmetic treatments. Now onto the different types of hair removal:

Traditional Bikini - If it sticks out of your underwear and is on the pubic area then I take it off. This doesn’t include inner thigh, belly’s, butts, or other body parts.
