New Year’s Resolutions? Try this!
 Several articles and newsletters with the message that
New Year’s resolutions are a worthless
exercise and a poorly disguised setup for failure
have passed across my desk this last week,
and the year before, and the year before that.
I do not believe in failure! There is always
something good to be found in any learning
experience. Besides, if we always succeeded
at everything we did, we would not know we
succeeded because there would be nothing to
measure success against! Certainly, the normal
statements along the lines of losing weight,
quitting smoking, etc. are normally an invitation
to be unsuccessful. The reason being that if
you could not find the power before to achieve
this, what would be different about now?
However, here are some ideas for you to consider
that could possibly have a huge impact on your
life this coming year.

Snowcat Skiing: What Is It?
 Backcountry skiers near Golden,
British Columbia travel high into the Rocky
Mountains in the warm comfort of snowcats.
Traveling in groups of 12, lead by two qualified
guides, skiers and snowboarders are carried
to elevations of almost 10,000 ft., to ski
and ride on a glacier or down great alpine
bowls. The views across North America’s
continental divide are spectacular. Soft powder
snow and fresh tracks is the expected norm,
every run, every day. The small group of 14
skiers and riders make a small mark on the
vast landscape.
Intermediate and expert skiers wanting a very
special powder snow holiday experience generally
have three options: backcountry touring, snowcat
skiing and heli-skiing.
Backcountry touring is slow-paced and as relaxed
as your want to make it. It usually requires
quite a bit of time, a high level of physical
fitness, considerable experience and specialized
clothing and equipment.

 I’m looking for some advice regarding
whether or not I should give a woman
a second chance to make a first impression
after I was stood up on our very first
date.
I met Pamela on Match.com.
When I told (not asked) her that she
should join me on Thursday evening at
a local brewery and then come along to
see a new exhibit at an art gallery,
she said she loved the idea and the direct
approach I used with her to set precise
plans. (All of this was accomplished
via e-mail; I was waiting to meet Pamela
face to face before asking for her home
telephone number.)

Break-Up Fake-Out, or Move Out Without the Lout?
 I was reading your article on 10
Signs Its Time to Break Up, so I decided to
write. I just broke up with my boyfriend of
2 years (on and off) for various reasons. I
broke up with him 2 weeks ago, and now I feel
like I made a big mistake.
One of the reasons I broke up with him is
because he would sometimes go for days without
calling me because he was in one of his “moods”.
Even though I told him repeatedly how horrible
this made me feel, he continued to do it. Another
reason was that I always seemed to be giving
and never receiving anything.
